Sounds like you’re looking for someone to make you feel better about your poor choices, The firms integrity and reputation is greater than one person. Everybody is replaceable
This ☝🏼
PPMD here - if we find out, you’re out of here. Top performers are the ones who can bring in the numbers and have the integrity with it. I don’t want anyone on my team who would steal from the firm. If you’ll fake a taxi receipt, you’ll fake a timesheet. If you’ll fake a timesheet, you’ll fake an invoice. If you’ll do that, you’ll lose us an account.... I suggest you backdate that reimbursement immediately and strongly think about what makes you act like that and.... pls fix
well said 👏
Gone, outta here. The only question is WTF were you thinking.
It’s a red flag that indicates they are willing to do other unethical things that could turn into a nightmare for the firm. They are now more risky to employ than their upside could possibly be worth. Let them go.
Senior manager is right below partner. Who’s going to trust someone with equity in the firm who’s fraudulent on even the small stuff? At that point, why invest in your future in the firm?
Ooo! He’s Stealing!
@PWC...underrated comment 😂😂 I don’t who you are, but just know that I see you 😂😂
Ethics matter. You can deliver on a lot of metrics but if you risk the firms reputation and your own personal brand then that shows an amazing lack of understanding of the example that you set and I’d question most of your results or the path to getting there.
Compromising personal integrity for something as inconsequential as a taxi reimbursement shows an utter lack of moral rectitude and poor decision making. If this person will risk a six-figure career for a $50 payoff, then there’s no telling where he/she will draw the line.
Potential long term value of any person who aligns with companies values is far greater than the potential value of a brilliant jerk, who can get the company into trouble for things such as ethics violation or any other misconduct.
Faking taxi receipts is an indicator of quality of judgement and decision making of a person. Personally, I find it hard to trust someone who has committed fraud and more so for things as trivial as fake taxi receipt.
OP - would you hire someone who you know had knowing made such choices?
The reputation of our firms is the highest good
Fired ASAP
I’m sick of those people who allow themselves to violate the ethic code just because how long they have been with the firm, how talented they (think they) are, or how high are their titles. First of all, they fail to be the role model for junior staffs. Second, with their salaries, why become unnecessarily cheap to cheat on the expenses? Third, they’re willing to sell their integrity for the taxi costs, imagine someone offering them to commit fraud with a higher dollar amount.
If McK can fire a partner for fraud...

Happened to a partner here. It happens
I get everyone is in different circumstances, but are you that deep in the weeds to fake a reimbursement for a taxi?
are we talking about the same guy who did this for his gambling addiction
I don’t think so - he was not a Senior Manager but I may be wrong.
Why would you even post this? Also, the way you talk seems very unique (i.e. lack of plurals, wrong articles), I wouldn't be shocked if someone could pinpoint who you are...
I know someone at Deloitte (my old firm) who just hit SM, kinda talks like this, and has had questionable expenses. unfortunately, he's not a super star though
Pete Rose was a high performer.
Consequences are the same regardless of performance. If someone lost the receipt there are lots of ways to reproduce if it’s a big amount - and we allow for lost receipts occasionally if it’s small. If it’s fraud then you’re fired. If you’ll rip off the firm, you’ll cheat our clients or cheat in other ways to get ahead. No thanks
Makes no difference if they are top performer or not . If someone shows anything less than absolute strong and consistent integrity at the firm - they will get fired . No firm at this level will tolerate it
Why do it? Doesn’t seem worth it.
OP, you’re that broke that you need to fake taxis receipts?
