Best headhunter firms to work with?
Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Start interviewing?
Stay so you can hopefully collect unemployment.
Depending how long you've been there and how well they document stay until you have an option or they pull the trigger. If they haven't been documenting and you've been there awhile they might pay you out and you will be eligible for unemployment. If you find a new job, then move once it is signed.
Stay assuming you want unemployment.
If you think you are going to be fired, then you are probably right. Try to turn it around performance wise, be proactive setting up regular Performance Improvement Program (PIP) sessions with your manager. This is typically initiated by the employer as a precursor to termination (give you a last chance to improve, both as a CYA and also some are genuine). Identify what needs to be improved, what tasks/projects etc will demonstrate that you’ve achieved the goal of improving and set dates for when these things will be done). And then do them! At the same time, in parallel, start hunting. There are always jobs out there for good consultants - use the PIP to get back in line and give your next employer a good employee. Yes, you could stay, get fired and get unemployment, but if you do that, you’ve lost more than you gained.
I feel for you. I’ve been there. You learn from it, you get better. Find your passion and go for it.
Stay til the end. Very few consulting companies terminate with cause. If you stay til the end you will get a severance package (usually 1 month at lower levels), access to unemployment (about 1600 per month) and will not have to pay back any sign on bonuses back. If you leave...you will lose all of that
I am on bench about 3 weeks and know that there are no other projects so will get fired, do I stay till that happens or resign ?
