If I left EY on 10/1 and didn't spend any vacation day in the fiscal year, will I get paid for that?

Moving from T2 to McKinsey. How do vacation requests work? I have family and friends getting married this fall in weddings delayed because of covid, but I’ll just have started so wanted to get a sense of how realistic taking vacation this fall would be and how to approach taking it (e.g. mention to HR, staffing). Question for folks with second homes: Considering buying a vacation home but would be primarily for family use. We currently have a primary residence with a mortgage balance of ~640K, so my understanding is I could only deduct the mortgage interest on 110K of the second mortgage to stay under the 750K cap. If I were to buy the second home through an LLC, would that allow me to exceed that 750K since the expenses of the second home would be pass through expenses/income?

I am in the process of IVF due to my husband's male factor infertility. What is PwC India for you?
It's a Big4 but will lowball you during offer negotiation.
It will ask you to work on multiple projects but will hardly appreciate or value your work.
They will ask you to come to the office on Sunday for business critical work and won't give any cab or food facilities.
You will be involved in multiple extra work, which you normally don't do in other service based companies. But there is no benefits/perks for that, you just end up doing extra work!!

The partner in charge of my office had a nearly hour long conversation Tuesday with our new hire, behind closed doors. I didn’t hear yelling, but the bits I heard weren’t good. Will he be fired?

We had evaluations and normally we have annual raises. I think my salary is under market value at $68k (plus OT) in Los Angeles (5 years of experience). I was told I am one of the top employees in the firm. When I asked about a raise, I was told “when you think about it at your level 5k to 10k doesn’t really matter it’s the long term goal that matters”. What would be your response to that, to a partner who is making 500-600k a year?
