Hi. I was recently offered two jobs within the company. I had to turn down the first offer. I feel really awful about it. I really liked that team and the hiring manager. I want to send an email to the hiring manager thanking them for their time and consideration etc. Would that be unprofessional? Could it offend them? What would you do in such a situation?

I’m interviewing for a newly created position, Assistant Director of Communications & Outreach in my organization’s DEI office. This is the first interview they have requested after reviewing my writing sample. They didn’t say who specifically I would be interviewing with, but said “members of the DEI staff”, and it will be virtual.

What types of questions outside of my marketing/communications background should I expect?

Have others found it hard to transition from Audit to Financial Analyst? All the recruiters I’m meeting with are telling me I probably won’t get an interview since they’re looking for someone who’s ready to hit the ground running.
It’s discouraging because I’m a fast learner, and from talking to my friends who are Financial Analysts, it doesn’t seem like what we do is so dissimilar.

My total experience is 5 in QA, I attended Deloitte interview. First round was technical and it went quite well, they asked lot of theory questions. I answered few and quite I was not sure of answers. She gave feedback like my communication and confidence level is good and project wise I'm having good knowledge and coming to concept wise it's not upto the mark for experience. Hi new here. Idk what my value is and if I’m getting paid an amount that reflects my hard work. I am a paralegal for a small law firm (family and immigration) w only 1 attorney. I have about 20 files or more in my rotation at a time. I work on various types of cases at once. Some are simple, others are extensive. I feel like it’s very unstructured and one of the managers micromanages. It’s like every man for himself. Take home pay is $50k. I am working on my bachelors deg. Do I get paid enough?
