When you say break even how are you calculating it? Just by the number of points earned?
When I calculate CSR break even, I also consider all the benefits, likelihood I will use them, and value I’d pay (if any) if I didn’t have the card. Two examples. $300 travel credit - 100% chance I use it, and I would still spend the $300 without the card, so the value is $300. Priority pass membership - use it approx. 1 time per year (some airports don’t have it), day passes at airline lounges cost about $60 (if I were to purchase), and given priority pass lounges tend to not be as nice nor ubiquitous, I give it a $30 value for me. Do this for all benefits + points to find break even

I think once covid is over and I’m able to eat out again/vacation it will be okay, but so far all projects I’ve been on were travel through Amtrak, so no chance to use priority pass yet. Lyft pink was really useful but looks like they’re cancelling it after next year
