Depends on your experience in the industry, your network, how how active you are on social media, etc. Lots of factors to evaluate to decide on your best course of action to getting new business. Are you able to reach out to enough people in your personal network to ask for referrals? I would start with recent business partners who are satisfied with your work and can offer up names in their network to refer you too. Referrals should be a core function of your BD strategy!

As you build you clientele continue to build the relationship by staying in touch. Nothing builds a strong company like word of mouth. This is a rarity in your business and I believe that conducting searches with a base of workable clients will serve you well.

Is it possible to source leads based on open job postings or announcements on who plans to hire X Number of jobs? New office launches or companies that have a cash infusion may be looking for additional or local support to hire talent

Resources for an enterprise BDR?

Hello All,

I recently got a job working as a BDR for an enterprise rep. We sell a SaaS product for other tech companies. It is a new realm for me as I have been primarily an AE throughout my career.

What resources are out there to help me learn how to work these accounts (500+ person companies)? looking for tips on everything from writing email cadences, sending video messages, and even qualifying leads during discovery calls.

The BDR that had my territory last was one of the worst performing on the team and since he inherited a new territory he’s been a top performer.
