If you were laid off in the last year, how long did your job hunt take from start to finish? I'm trying to get people who are affected by tech layoffs an idea on how long to expect before getting a new job and set realistic expectations.

We pitched a client last year. They didn’t award us the business. It’s now a year later, they already fired the winner of that RFP & now their internal team literally just launched our exact concept!?

I work for a small company and my manager got fired this morning...

Working at a company and they can’t seem to hold on to their female, black and people of color employees. I blinked and 3 of the people who were in my onboarding class were either fired or they left. For context I’ve been in company less than a year and there are people who have been in the company 25yrs. I’m thinking of cutting loose before it gets to my turn.

About rolling off my project with no new project opportunity yet. I’m already getting anxious and can’t have a full night rest with the worry of not finding a project soon and eventually getting laid off. Although I tend to stress-out easily but this type of anxiety is different. Are others feeling the same way? I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
