I've seen ECDs and EVPs give only 2 weeks so I don't think anyone will think anything if you give 2 weeks. But if you feel 3 is better and you'll feel better about it, and the other job can wait, go for it. Up to you, really.
I honestly don’t think it makes a difference if you leave in 2 vs. 3 weeks. Have you ever thought of someone who gave a 3 weeks notice and thought differently of that person? The person is still leaving. It’ll be a mess regardless. You’re placing yourself in a more awkward position for much longer than you need to.

That’s what I was wondering. I get that 2 weeks is the norm. Wasn’t sure if at this level we’re expected to give more.
