Currently a Solutions Consultant at Pegasystems.
I am interviewing at and considering making a jump to Oracle as a Specialist Solutions Consultant.
The reason for my move is currently at Pega SCs are treated more as AEs or Account Managers. The role at Oracle would be more of a true SC position. I also feel that Oracle will look BETTER on a resume and someone as young as me would have BETTER programs in place to train me and give me the foundation needed to be a successful SC.
Thoughts?

Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

feel the same way tbh like going to be a controller somewhere makes me feel nervous
Yeah would say solid technical accounting skills aren't really seen until the SM level. Even then, people generally develop niches and it's not uncommon to see a partner who doesn't even know how consolidations are performed
I feel the same way as you but I think I’d pick up on it pretty quickly
That's how I felt in audit and why I transferred to accounting advisory as a senior.
I feel the same especially when I go to those interviews. When they ask me about those ASC guidances or anything about the business operations etc. I don’t feel like I know anything.
What do you mean business operations?
