I’m wondering if I should explore CLMs but I don’t know if that’s more than what we need? I mostly want:
1. To get us out of Slack for sending redlines back and forth.
2. A dashboard where I can see all open deals and basic info like deal size, sales rep, where the redlines are sitting, and the legal team member who’s working on it because I’ll have a couple of external counsel helping me soon.
3. Somewhere where we can track key terms and custom terms, and to have notes about the specific MSA/negotiation.
Some other things…we use SFDC and a separate CPQ tool for order forms. I think our signature process is all over the place and it’s more common for the customer to initiate signatures.
Any thoughts? I dont think we need anything fancy, but I know it’ll be easier to adopt a new system while the team is still small.
Oh and the redlining process itself isn’t painful for me…I like using Word, although it would be nice to have an easy to use clause library lol
Sounds like it’s time for you to implement a CLM. We’ve been happy with Ironclad (chose them after an RFP), but there are a few other decent options out there.
