Hello! Question for anyone that works at Google if I have hit my 3 applications per 90 days can I still apply to an additional role through a referral link? Or will I have to wait until the 90 days is up? Actually asking for a friend that doesn’t have this app 😊 thanks in advance for any insight.

I would stay.
I think the fact that you are asking the question means you know the answer 😜

What’s your priority? Sounds like money is your priority (as opposed to being on solid partner track and more lifestyle friendly) so then go to that new firm. But as a specialist who does mostly deal work at a cravath scale law firm, I learned that money is not my priority and I would give up a lot of things to be at your current firm.
You guys may have swayed me. I wasn’t expecting such a one-sided response.

What do you think of the practice shift? Personally, I love deals and would hate to do mostly compliance but everyone is diff.
I do like the occasional deal work that I do, but am perfectly content with the compliance work too. I do think the compliance role leads to a deeper dive into the issues, which I do like. It seems like lifestyle is going to be the primary driver.
I think an important question to ask yourself is: do you like the life you have outside of work right now, and are you willing to see it significantly change in exchange for more money? IMO that’s actually where you will see the biggest shift.
You nailed it. That’s the piece I’m struggling with. I work a lot currently (2100+), but it’s one thing to do that on a basis, and another to do it on a boom or bust cycle.
