I’m based out of a mid sized city and since the pandemic started I’ve been staying with my family in a smaller city. I kinda realized that the only reason I live in the larger city is for work. My college friends have moved away and I don’t really have anyone there. Every time I visit my apartment I’m bored/lonely. Would I be a fool to move back to my hometown where I can afford a house, be close to my favorite ski hill, be close to my fam, etc? I’m 30 and single for reference.

Trying to help my retired dad - When I google for what to do after retirement, only retirement planning related things shows up.
