Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

The length of time is fine, but I'd caution how you phrase the client issue if asked. There's a lot of expected churn among client relationships but they might take it as you're the type to get bored. Use the initial interviews to probe for how they choose what types of clients to pursue and how do they work on getting their current clients to try new things. This could help you get a sense of what they are willing to do in the long term.
This is super helpful, thank you!
Nah fam, job hopping is the norm and anyone who tells you years at a company shows loyalty blah blah blah has brain worms.
hopping is normal, but if you’re gonna move again, make sure you’re confident it’s gonna stick this time. think less about recruiters and more about: where would i want to work for 5+ years? and pursue that job instead of going from meh to meh
Agreed! I would love to stay somewhere long term, I seem to have a bit of a bad luck streak when it comes to clients and the business shifting. Definitely something I can be asking more about during the interview process.
Just make sure you can tell and own your story. Deliver it with confidence in interviews. People change direction all the time.
