Starting with the pwc brand earlier in your career will be more beneficial. Pwc is investing a tremendous amount of money in all things tech. It will open up opportunities. In the scope of things they pay cut will not be big. Take the long view
I don’t see money being much of a factor if it’s what you wanna do. Probably what, 10% pay cut tops after factoring in year 1 raise?
So unless you’re a staff 2 making under $50k in a Greenville, Alabama it was an accurate assessment lol. Do the job that’ll make you happier
Can you transfer within RSM? Most people that leave places within two years have to go lateral or a pay cut
I not sure if RSM offer this department but I will definitely look into it, thank you
DRS is a great group if you’re interested in using technology to innovate and change/speed up processes, so I’d say make the move. But maybe try to argue you should be an experienced associate instead of new hire.
I have friends who work at all Big 4 firms and RSM, and I can guarantee you that the scalability, exposure to technologies & industries, and internal resources/training are lights-year ahead at Big 4 compared to what RSM can offer. If you like the culture & the people at PwC, taking the paycut and moving there will be a strategic, long-term move for your career
Agreed. I worked at RSM and it’s light years behind pwc. Their tech growth strategy is to hire pwc people.
