I’m currently interviewing with EY faas and my current company is a ch1 client of them. Recruiter told me she needs to reach out to the engagement partner, and likely my company, before they can proceed with interviews. I’m fine with contacting the partner, but obviously not my company yet as my team doesn’t know I’m interviewing and I don’t want them to know until I know for sure I will leave. Can I ask the recruiter to not contact my company until I get an offer from EY?

I have 5 YOE in Analytics... always thought I wanted to be a DS, but every job (even the junior ones) required experience in ML development. Though I am part of the ML project, I'm not the person develop the model. And I have a hard time when the interviewer ask about how I develop the model and what hyperparameters I tuned. I know the thought process and stuff but 'I' wasn't the one who did that part in the project. How to convince them that I could do the job without taking credit of others.
