I’m in Denver making $88k with seven years of experience, and I’ve basically hit a hard ceiling at my current company. They keep telling me I’m at the top of the band for my tier, but inflation is eating my paycheck alive and I’m doing the work of two people. Meanwhile, I see remote project management roles outside of marketing offering $110k for fewer hours and less stress. Is it time to abandon the marketing ship entirely and pivot to general tech project management for the bag?

My manager continues to ask me to help other teams and do work on other billable projects. I’m sick of it .. and I’m going to explicitly say that no I can’t do it because my hours are taken by the existing project we are doing. Is this appropriate?

I joined CG 6 months back and was on training for 3-4 months for Dynamics CRM, completing multiple MS certifications. Post that I was mapped to an account for the project & was under shadow.

After shadow completed it seems like there's no project openings in the account for which I was selected. And now management wants me to go for other certs.

Please help me know whom can I approach & ask for project openings/tagging. I'm worried as it's already been 6 months!
