It gives me anxiety thinking of something new, because you never know what you're really going to get. So if you take a chance on something you might regret it, but you'll never know until you do it. You could also be taking a chance on something really good. It's a gamble and that can bring on the anxiety.
I think that is normal. When you have done something for so long it is hard to think about doing anything else. You have got this though. I say go for it.
I AM OP - to clarify I got hired by Apple one for the temp to perm on October 27th 2025, so will have only been here at this company a little while, it's easy enough, and I like the people but no real challenge. I just don't want to shoot myself in the foot. I wasn't looking, this just fell in my lap and I mean there will be other candidates as well I am sure, but they called me to set up interview...
Think of it this way: You still have the temp to perm position with Apple One and possibly can get hired permanently if you want to accept the lower salary. Going to the interview for the higher salary will only give you more information to decide what you want to do. You might not even like them after the first interview, but you might love them and they might love you! It is always a good idea to be open to other things when you are free to do so and before you lock yourself onto a salary that is below your expectations and desires. I wish you all the luck in the world and hope that you love it as it is a job in your field and you might end up loving it! BIG HUG sister and post an update if you can! Happy Holidays too! XOXO
