Hello,
I had my interview with Infosys for .net full stack developer.
It went well and i am hoping for a positive response.
Want to know how much should I expect Or at what pkg should I negotiate with them.
I am thinking of proposing 13-15 LPA negotiable.
4 YOE and 7 LPA currently

50 hours seems more than reasonable in consulting.
Is there a significant internal component that is leading to additional hours.
Right so whats your total hours?
What service line are you in? This seems unusual. But lol @ your comment that it’s “sweatshop hours”. 80 hours is sweatshop hours. A SM or manager breathing down your back and putting 7am and 8pm meetings on your calendar is sweatshop hours. I’m currently required to charge 45 hours on my project on top of internal stuff and it’s super doable and I’m a new mom with a 6 month old. It’s still a consulting firm, and my experience has been exponentially better than when I was at EY. Maybe you just need a different project…?
ALSO I CANT BELIEVE I FORGOT TO MENTION THIS BUT WE GET PAID OVERTIME 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Salaried hourly rate for incremental hours over 40 avg billable per qtr
That isn’t the norm for billable work, very much the minority of projects - most max out at around 40 hours most weeks. You shouldn’t have been told during hiring process that you’d only ever have to work 40 but looks like you got one of the relatively unlucky projects - though it doesn’t feel quite as unlucky when you get paid out overtime. I’d advise speaking with your coach about the situation and try to stick it out through another project before jumping ship
Don’t market work-life balance if you expect the same charge hours as every other firm. If I wanted to stay at a 60 hour work weeks I would have stayed at EY.
Bring it up with your manager then and if there’s been a change or they’re not holding to that, boomerang back or go elsewhere.

I don't see the issue with the ask. 50 hours is not insane in consulting
It’s the same as EY, if I wanted to work EY sweatshop hours. I would have stayed at EY.

DM me if you are looking for an exit opportunity to CFGI; it’s normally 40 hours here unless your chasing the OT
Are you really a CrossCountry employee?

How many hours a week are you working?

GH generally is 40hrs chargeable + 0-10 hrs admin depending on level. Most C and SC levels will be 0-5 hrs extra. Managing Consultants+ will be closer to 10. So if you're interested in a switch here, happy to refer. DM me
Are you not going expecting to work average of 50 hours back at EY? I feel that is par for the course. It seems your manager has different expectations than you so something to keep in mind however, depending on stage of projects, you can get out with 40 hours or your stuck for 60 for a few weeks. Just wait it out.
i’ve been here two years and I have had weeks that cap out at 50 hours, but tbh I welcome
overtime here because it’s paid out quarterly. just wait for that quarterly utilization bonus
Can you dm me for a referral to cross country…looking to evaluate against what my current company just gave me
Curious OP what you ended up doing? Agree 50 is too much
