I recently interviewed with MITRE for a systems engineering role to make the move from Leidos where I feel underpaid for the work I do and for my experience ($85K). I have 4 YOE, a STEM degree, and soon will have a Masters Degree. I’m looking to make around $120K in the new role at Mitre. Does anyone have any insight into comp there? This would be in the DC metro area. Does $120K seem reasonable or am I dreaming?

Umm now. Interview process and hiring process takes time
That’s what I thought and also experienced last years. Although I got a few call backs the other day but needed someone sooner
Everything seems to take longer than you think, so it's best to just jump in as soon as possible. Start sending in resumes or filling out applications this week. It can take forever to hear back, so you might as well start the process. If things happen quickly, before you're actually living there, that's fine, you'll find a way to deal with it.
Ok thanks!
I’m moving in about 8 months to the area as well :) trying to decide what career to pursue there! Do you like what u do?
An early welcome to Fort Worth! This is a beautiful city and I am sure you will fall in love with it. To agree with some comments that others have made, I would start sooner rather than later. There's a ton of people moving to DFW so I would jump on it as soon as you can. If you want to know of any cool, low-key places to go/eat, let me know. Safe travels, and welcome again to Fort Worth!
Thank you! I got lucky with a few interviews but they needed to hire asap . I’ll keep on applying though
