Im single and will be 30 very soon. I have an emergency fund and a good amount of money in the market. I love the idea of maximizing savings but I’m sick of roommates and will getting my own apartment in the summer. I am torn between saving as much as possible in a less expensive 1 BR and getting my dream apartment. It’s a difference of ~$400-600 per month. Help😩!

Not sure I understand what you’re saying here. Would I want to save that amount? Yes. Am
I home indefinitely? Yes. Am I saving that much now? No.

Need more info. What’s the impact in overall savings? Does spending the extra $500 mean you’d be saving $2500 a month instead $3000? $500 instead of $1000?

Op, I think CD1 was asking, relative to your current savings rate, how would this choice proportionately affect your savings - i.e. does spending the extra $500/month cut your savings in half or is it less significant?

Do you guys think it's worth paying off an auto loan? I have a 10k, 3 year loan with about 4k balance remaining. Interest is about 4%. I want to get rid of the loan but the total interest I pay over the life of the whole loan is only like $700.

Should I just keep paying the minimum on it? I was debating whether to sell some of my stock and pay for it bc stock prices are so high and frothy and im not sure this is going to last forever.

Hi all, I am trying to DCA bi-weekly into Vanguard ETFs, (VO, VTI etc). It seems like Fidelity does not support auto buying of non-Fidelity ETFs. So I was wondering which of these options you think is best?

1. Open a Vanguard Invest account
2. Look for Fidelity ETFs that are similar to Vanguard ETFs
3. Use smaller brokerages like SoFi l, Robinhood etc.

I really do not want to manage nor be active. My goal is to log-in like once every 6 months.

Thank you all.

When building a new brand, who is the actual client? Who has the final say? Who should you really listen to if no one is taking the lead? The president of the company, the original owner, the financial money partner, the third party manager? Everyone seems to have a voice, but the main contact is the underling gathering and offering their own opinion, which strangely seems to be the most on point. How do you handle this type of situation?

How did you get up the courage to invest? I max out the annual allowable contribution amount for my 401K, but otherwise I’ve got everything in savings. I have no debt, just a bunch of excess cash I’m too scared to do anything with. I know this is irrational - I’m above the FDIC-insured amount and I’m also losing value to inflation.
