Take the money you are saving on commuting costs, dry cleaning and work clothes and put it towards your home office. I really don’t get why people think firms should be paying for home office setups UNLESS you are working fully remote as a requirement of your job. The offices are open. If you choose to work remote, then take a few hundred dollars out of your pocket and buy a monitor and stuff. I never asked the firm to buy me a printer, monitor, mouse or a ton of other peripherals that I choose to use to make my life easier.
Ok well I am working fully remote as a requirement of my job and only got the $250 so what then? Sure I save money on not commuting, but I burn a hole in my utility bills as a trade-off. Not to mention my poverty wages. The least they could've done is supplied a monitor like every other company I've worked with remotely.

Wasn’t it a one time payment in the form of cash? Didn’t even have to show a receipt for what we bought.
We got the $250 in our paycheck and never had to show proof. If anyone asked for receipts, they’re a jerk and out of policy.
I believe new hires are still receiving some sort of funding for remote setup
I hope so too. I just want to see if anyone who started few weeks before will know or anyone who heard about this info.
Yes, new hires still receive it. Some lines of service offer a second monitor so wait to find out what your segment offers before buying anything. (Getting a second monitor only applies if you’re able to go to the office. They’re not shipping any out)
Oh gee @PwC 4 sorry for hearing that. I was able to keep some of my things from old firm so I got lucky.
I agreed $250 is definitely not enough if you want a full set up. I was really surprised how expensive the monitors are right now lol. The monitor I got last year has double up the price on amazon. But hopefully 250 is able to let you at least get two decent monitors with some Black Friday deal.
Thanks again for letting me know :)
Yeah they're still offering $250
Kinda hoping PwC implements a $250/year wfh budget. Really, like for those of us who stick it out for another year can get another little something for our wfh office.
Right, for a one time bonus $250 is stingy. I could barely buy a monitor lol
