It's a life event, you should be fine if you enroll within a specific time frame.
I believe it’s 30 days from the life event to enroll
Why didn’t you choose health insurance in the last enrollment period? Health insurance for the employee only is highly subsidized so it’s quite affordable. Your parents are likely paying more for your coverage than you would unless they have some ridiculous options.
Yep, I’m turning 26 in February and I’ve still been on my dad’s plan because my younger sibling is in college and it cost no extra for me to be on it with her.
@Everyone, thanks for your help. I’ll make sure to sign up in January. Also, the reason why I didn’t sign up for it already is because I am on my mom’s plan because my mom has really good insurance through her job and it’s the same price for us whether or not I’m under her plan.
