I’m unemployed and just got offered a job at an in-house agency for a big client. My main goal is not in-house whatsoever. I want to work at a great creative agency and have had interviews with some awesome places lately but no luck with getting hired. Is it a bad move to just take the job for now and keep looking? Maybe freelance where I can and fill out the book? Would having in house briefly on my resume hurt my chances? I’d wait it out but I barely have any cushion to hold me over.

Is there such a thing as getting promoted TOO quickly? Just got the bump to AS after 10 months as an AE. Not at all typical at my agency (usually 5 to 8 YOE). I'm up for a pharma agency senior CW role in the Rx/HCP vertical. I have been freelancing for 11 years, so mostly contract rates between $50 and $80 p/h (lower end on W2, higher 1099). They want to know my 1099 rate and salary requirements if full-time employee. Would $75 hourly and $110K be within range? They are in Philadelphia. I have been working in the Chicago, San Fran, and NYC markets mostly.
