At what age do you stop taking a bath with your child? My 3 year old & I were in the bath together and suddenly he reached out to my chest and said “mumma, your lungs are outside, mine are inside my body” I was so embarrassed! I told him that those were my breasts and that grown ups have slightly different body parts. I normally take a quick shower before him and sit in the tub with him, as that’s our bonding time. I was wearing underpants so thankfully he didn’t notice my non-existant penis

Not currently pregnant but hoping for some insight and advise. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant, but I’m really frustrated in my position and may start job hunting within 6-12 months. Hopefully I will be pregnant by then. Has anyone here experienced job hunting while pregnant or just post baby? I’m concerned about maternity leave and if I should just suck it up until I have a kid.

Currently on parental leave and planning on quitting my job once I go back… is it better to somehow call my managing partner and quit over the phone before I plan on coming back from leave or go back for like a week or so and give notice then? I feel like a jerk either way for some reason…

Are there women here that have a significantly larger income than their male partner/ spouse? My husband used to make a little more money 10 years ago when we first met (when we were both making under 60k). Then I started climbing a fast track career ladder and now make a total comp of close to 300k and he is still under 80k... (which is totally fine with me btw). How have you broke the news to your boss that you’re looking to make a career change and leave the practice? I am the Sr. Paralegal at my firm (7+ years) and work for a solo practitioner in a very busy wage & hour class action practice. We have one other legal assistant and law clerk. I don’t want to burn bridges, but after seeing how he gave the cold shoulder to his paralegal of 10+ years after going on maternity leave and never coming back, I don’t see how I can’t expect the same treatment.

My billable hours bonus requirement/target is 1900. Unless I pull a 300 hour month in December, I won’t be hitting that.
