Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?
Hello Sharks, My HR interview is scheduled with an US MNC for one of the niche skills in MarTech space for an IT consultant role. May I know how much salary should I expect? I am expecting around 35 to 45 LPA My current CTC is 18 LPA and YOE 10 years. This is a fully remote position

Ask "What is your usual day like?"
I would say you don't ask; how valuable is it really? They'll give you a PC answer, and you won't really know until you're there. Focus on questions about the work and whether or not you'd be happy doing it.
Work/life balance is a myth.
Say 'I don't have hobbies and don't care about life, only about work'. So wanted to make sure there's only work happening in your company. What's your work life balance like?
What strategies have you seen been successful for high performers to also have work life balance?
You go on Glassdoor.com
Try to get a sense of how many people are married / with kids. Keep track of position. If there are a few married junior people and middle people with kids, you're good. If everyone is single up to (almost) the top, you have a problem.
Talk about the things you want to do, eg gym, call family etc
Yeah but people lie in interviews. They will be forced to be at the client until 8pm and be like "oh work life balance is great"
Really, companies want you working as much as possible. That want work to BE your life. Kids? Cool. Just keep working - here's a daycare at the job. Drinking/social stuff? Great - here are these team events. Etc. Not saying it's right or wrong but the concept of working until 5pm and shutting off everything until 8am the next day is not reality for nearly any salaried profession these days.
Work/life balance has become the new cliche question to ask. If you get into consulting, expect your life to not be very balanced at times. It's partially up to you to on how you navigate that. Agree with other remarks that interviewers will just give you status quo responses as well.
Don't.
Such a great question!
A company that prides itself on a good work life balance will bring it up on their own without you needing to ask about it.
If it is a consulting interview expect a consulting answer - it depends.
Recently left consulting and am now in industry. I revived offers from 3 Fortune 500 companies. I asked them all, nobody batted an eye and gave seemingly truthful answers.
