Guys , whoever is interviewing and planning to join , do ask project availablity on priority basis before you take decision. On Java front looks like there is some project issue due to recent slowdown in market. My offer was not revised even after agreement with recruiter because of this.

Graduate cert not worth it. Go get your CEH, CISSP, GiacX. Source - I have a master's in info sec.
CISSP is very common. But I don’t know of many firms ‘requiring’ it if you have a degree or past experience
I got my CEH, security+ and Splunk certifications in my first 6 months at BAH. Finally found a Cyber position 6 months after that, but it was solely due to my mentor being friends with the Leadership Team of the new project. Almost all cyber contracts have a stipulation of 5 years of experience so you need to have people really vouch for you if you want to get into cyber at BAH as a youngin. Without a mentor, you are hopeless
CISSP. That’s about it
K1 that's the struggle. It's hard getting experience or getting on projects without any certs. Looking at network+ and security+ for now.
Skip network + security + good for entry level.
But I pretty much am entry level in terms of cyber. What's the best way to just get my foot in the door?
Also OP take advantage of the grad certificate. Then using TCR, it’s only 5k total for a masters degree. I’m doing the cyber security technology program and I’m learning a ton.
Did your salary increase with those certs?
I️ got security+ and CEH. Salary did not increase much more than the standard annual raise.
CEH is worthless. Security+ means nothing unless a contract requires it. CISSP is the most commonly requested but it’s harder to get.
Security+ and CISSP.
