If layoffs would need to happen, how would they look like in a B4? What percentages? what levels? What criteria would they use to lay off people? What is the probability of this happening this year?
Hey guys I also got laid off at D. 1 year experience as a BTA>S&A>CCG. Would anybody mind helping a mate out with any referrals? Would love to discuss over DM. Appreciate your help, thank you so much!

Hey fishes - I got laid off from my FT job which in a way was a blessing, bc I’ve been wanting to go freelance for years. I’ve been interviewing like crazy since Nov., but nothing has stuck. How long did it take for you to get your first contract? Any tips for getting into the freelance life?

Would you rather get promoted or laid off at your current firm (and collect a sweet severance package)? Why/why not?
I’m getting laid off at the start of next year. Anything I should know about severance pay and taxes?
Let's cool it with the layoff threads team. Consulting is up or out and the business model depends on 15-20% churn to work. Unless you're seeing 1 in 5 people quitting expect some firings every year
Has Anyone been laid off but got another job by telling prospective employer another story because your ex employers policy will not to reveal reason for separation?
Got laid off. Happy Monday!
I just retracted my acceptance of Deloitte offer. When I confronted recruiter about mass layoffs and push in start date got lip service. Not confident in the outlook of the D-Consulting practice.
My wife got laid off by her employer a couple weeks ago but her severance package is for 3 months. It would be as if she was still employed until May. Should I report this as a life event now or wait?

Because of layoffs, I have a new boss for the 4th time in 4 years. My new boss prefers to write new lines as opposed to giving me feedback on what I’ve written. What’s the best way to approach?
Final round BCG interview approaching for SA. Case is obviously very important, but how is it weighted compared to Fit and Presence/Communication? Possible to not do that great on case and get offer?
What’s the best way to make use of company tuition reimbursement policy? I want to do a certification (already have pmp) like Apics CLTD or Scor-P. Which one is better or any other one I should consider?
Any folks here ever take “garden leave” or cooling off leave where your company pays your a salary during the non compete period? If so, can you literally just quit the job and they still have to pay you? Offer I have says if either the company terminates me for cause or I voluntary leave, I am subject to the non compete and will get garden leave.
Coming from Big4, interviewing with a small, but successful software consulting startup. F500 clientele, solid portfolio. 20 people in the firm total. Nearly double pay plus equity and revenue sharing in a client management role. Promised a high degree of independence and trajectory for growth. Anything I should be wary of? Is this too good to be true?
Does turning down a Big 4 job offer, due to bad timing, hinder chances if I reapply there in a few years?
How much do Accenture first year consultants make? Assume a 2 YOE out of undergrad. Would you stay at KPMG or leave for Accenture if Accenture was giving close to a 30% raise?
Everyone is talking about good hikes, bonuses etc. Does anyone feel that there will layoffs this year for not meeting performance. Last year, it did happen and leadership tried to cover it saying, it happens every year based on performance but everyone knows the truth that they put more people in PIP and then forced exit than the other years. What's your take this year.

The managers on my project are so immature. I caught them outside putting those whistle tip things in rental car mufflers and putting inappropriate bumper stickers on cars. Ugghhh get me out of here!
Unpopular opinion: consulting is not any more challenging nor does it generate more experience than working in a demanding/high-profile role at a large company or startup. As someone who’s been in all three, I don’t see how people can argue consulting YOE > operating YOE. In fact, I could easily argue the opposite. What do y’all think (I’m expecting serious hate lol)
