I wouldn’t take 10 days of PTO in any world. In my very first job this was the PTO and it’s the last time I ever accepted a job w PTO that low

What would ACN pay you to do a similar role? How long until you will have that role at ACN?

Who cares about the role?

In reality.. you’ll anyways work 20 days extra in a year. So essentially you get -10 PTO days per year!

I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.

I work at growth-stage company and and am looking to substantially improve my salary in the Feb annual review. I told them $85k during interview, they got me down to $65k+equity+fully paid benefits+WFH+4% 401k match, and honestly, I was stuck in my career after exploring post-grad and a bit desperate to use my degree. Plus I had never negotiated before. The company is expecting a big round of funding in the new year; I have consistently excelled; they gave $10k retention for just 2months...

We are a family of 4- husband, myself and 2 boys. We flew to Miami and came back. Other than being in flight and at the airport where we double masked, we were all by ourselves avoiding crowded places. Once back, my son got a cold, cough and slight fever too. We went to urgent care and they took a covid test, awaiting results. Now I’m super anxious and scared and feel stupid for exposing my kids. Anyone else in the same position ? Looking for positive vibes.

Resume/LinkedIn question: I am a senior student graduating in a couple of months. I am going to join Google this fall as a SWE. My previous work experience includes an internship at Google, and a summer spent working on open source (PostgreSQL) during Google Summer of Code. At what point should I drop coursework projects from my Resume/LinkedIn?
