Most B4 (and other larger firms) will provide you with a Corp card and thus they will pay the bill for you upon submitting your expense reports. For smaller, more boutique-like firms I’ve worked for, we used our own personal credit cards and requested reimbursement. Personally - and bc I have the AMEX Platinum - I’d prefer to charge my travel expenses to my personal card because of the crazy points I’d accumulate. I’m now at a larger firm who uses Diners Club as the Corp card and am not allowed to use my personal card for business expenses.😭😭😭
Totally agree D1. I would have soooo many more points for hotel and airlines.
ACN you get reimbursed and then pay the bill when it’s due. Doesn’t really matter tbh... unless you rely on the balance in your bank account to determine how much money you have. There are no tax or credit implications of either approach. This way you just need to remember to pay the bill.
Id get a separate accnt for sure - i track all my money and would hate to mix to two
PwC’s direct AMEX payments are relatively new, implemented in the last 3-4 years IIRC. Since we have to use the card, I like it - one less bill to deal with.
I agree and like it. I came in 2016 and it was like this. My last firm did the same so I didn’t realize that the reimburse employee and they pay was even a thing.
We do corp Amex. More seamless, but miss the points from my personal card :(
How? Never heard of that before.
Reimbursement = Free points

They reimburse, we pay corporate Amex. Direct bill for ride share on a business account and on flights. Hotel can go on personal, but that’s it.
Points eligible if you pay for that perk, but direct bill airfare and a hotel CC leave limited opportunity on the Amex for points.
