TCS is the worst company one can be in.
Cheap mindset management cares more about timesheet, wfo, forceful mandatory trainings, imposing strict restrictions on laptop, access to personal docs only via vpn,no employee well being no salary hikes nth at all.90% projects filled with freshers coz they cost less.No WLB for good dedicated hard working employees as they are punished with more and more work, leaves rewards mostly for people who don’t work. But no issues kyunki job security hai 😂
Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

Our firm has made a lot of progress with flexibility (even going to open PTO in January) and this article makes a lot of sense to me personally. I take plenty of vacation but stay available. Working from home has also made me much more productive without the commute. I work a lot of hours but my kids don’t realize it because it doesn’t impact our time together as much. I expect other parents are on social media but I spend that time on email.
Good point - and there is a trade off the guy in the article took a 30 pay cut -
For some of us that just does not work
I’m totally with flexibility but before you rant this benefit - you have to be very self disciplined and earn trust from people you work with. I’ve got both but then I realized it’s hard to control myself sometimes
I’m just glad someone realized that we’re not all millennials, it’s one of my biggest pet peeves
I might just be too cynical but it just feels like I’m asked to work 80 hour weeks in return for being able to “work from home”
