I’m not familiar with Accenture I joined slalom one year out of college in a data role. I got 110k starting and have gotten 10k bonus and 10k raise each year.
We are currently going through an alignment and I have a feeling salaries should go up.
I’m also not familiar with build. It’s kind of murky but I think it’s more long term larger projects.
How did you land 110k with 1 YOE. That seems extremely high. People with 10 YOE are making that money at Slalom - this seems odd. Also those bonuses and raises are nonexistent. Idk what market you're in but I have never heard of that in any market
I got 125k with 2 YOE with a 10% bonus at Slalom Build.
I am interviewing with Slalom Build next week for Sw Eng.. more than 10 years experience, took a break during pandemic for a few years. What would the salary range be?
Not sure why you would want to work for Slalom, but typically you will get a first year boost in salary and then level off...not sure that in the long term you will do better that ACN if you are a high performer. Most of the folks I know at similar firms are a bit "middling" performers. Good luck!
It’s this kind of brainwashing that keeps people at companies like Accenture as they shift their business model from consulting to offshoring.
My advice is to just be yourself and let your personality shine throughout the interview process. The hiring process emphasizes being a culture fit aside from having a strong grasp of technical material.
Build is a growing arm within Slalom and a great place to be. They work strongly with partners (Alteryx, Tableau, etc) and you will get good exposure to various technologies. Unlike Accenture, there is virtually no staff aug work since Build engagements are sold as Pods.
In terms of comp, I would estimate 95-110k for 1 YOE with 7-12% bonus. There are no set pay bands, so I would try checking out Glassdoor and working with your recruiter.
Should’ve mentioned this is for an engineer position within the data engineering team
