Hiring is hot for certain roles. I don’t see ACD and CD openings as “hot”... at least not at the good ad agencies. You have too many creatives trying to get in and not enough spots. If you wanna go client side or in-house, sure there’s lots more openings and $ to go around.
I make 180 as a CD in NYC( but i have a few less years experience than most CDs) ....190 is gunna be a lot for an ACD if they aren’t hiring you as a CD.
Seems good for ACD. FYI top level CDs on the client side are making $400k base, then they usually have 25-50% bonus on top of that. I used to work in a data role at Deloitte and gained exposure to compensation plans at a variety of media companies.
This doesn't answer your question directly but is a related consideration - a lot of agencies (especially ones in holding companies) have a rule that above 200k /year you're only eligible for a raise every 2 years, sometimes more. Just something to keep in mind.
Bain & Company Any tips to get my resume noticed at BCG and Bain? I keep applying to positions and only get back a rejection. YOE 15+ with MBA and MS Finance in progress. TIA. Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company
yes
190 is more than fair... but you may not get that. 190/ 200 at the moment is about right for a first year CD.

Um, yes. Ogilvy doesn’t pay that, and especially not to women.
