Is booze allen Hamilton (bah) having any layoffs. Friend joined Bah last year Nov and was on prj till March.been on bench since then and now scared that layoff can happen anytime. Since they are new to bah don't have much network and don't know if others are let go. Any insight will be useful

One of my senior managers is a boomerang and told me she was laid off when she was 7 months pregnant about 10 years ago. I think she was a senior or manager. She was in a specific group and everybody was laid off. It wasn’t performance based.

So someone I know asked HR about a boot policy. When he found out that there wasn’t one, but his boss said there was (who gave the guys $ for boots and the claimed it on his expense reimbursements as something else) the boss got mad at him for askingHR (and in trouble for the expense reimbursements) and then 2 days later laid off my friend. There appears to be no notice of bad performance and this person always was the first person on the job site ready to work. Thoughts?

M/SM and above, why do you label a meeting as “touch point” or ask if you can have a “quick chat” when it’s something serious? Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). I have placed a counter offer in march with Tech M .They are doing a salary revision with Joining bonus and they said they are waiting for JB approval. They didn’t send the revised offer letter yet. Do they usually take so long for revised offer letter. I have just a day left.

I have job offers from TCS (Noida) and LTI (Delhi). I am currently working in support. In TCS also I have been hired for a support project. No project details have been shared regarding the LTI offer.

Current CTC : 7.7 lac fixed + 1.1 lac variable
TCS: 9 lac fixed+ 3 lac variable
LTI: 9.9 lac + 1.1 lac variable (they have shared that they will try to get approvals and make it comparable to the counter offer)
