I have the reserve and like it. Got precheck and global entry, $300 a year travel credit on flights and Ubers, priority pass (though lounge access seems to be more limited around me), plus the 60k bonus points offer is nice
I think I read on thepointsguy website that the sapphire preferred is also a great card for cheaper
Are you in Chicago? If so, I’d love to further discuss the lounge in Terminal 5
Yes. It has been really good for us. Using the points has been super easy and the return for flights/hotels/cars has been good.

Reserve is great. Technically AmEx platinum has better benefits in certain areas (Uber, Clear, Delta Lounge, etc) but I find they’re harder to use and you have to constantly think about whether you’ve spent your $10/month at every vendor. Reserve is much easier with its lump sum $300.
Rising Star
It’s good if you actually travel a lot! I find it’s easy to rack up points. I got it as a “beginner” travel card and don’t have any complaints
Sapphire Reserve is phenomenal if you travel and eat out. I put all corporate travel on the card and then submit for reimbursement. The points add up super fast. Worth it for the reserve if you can stomach the price.
D1 assuming the world works the same way as Deloitte lmao. Do you think I am sneaking my personal card onto travel expenses? That is our company policy so the additional cc points can be a fun little form of extra comp.
Yes as long as you actually use it enough
I’ve had the Reserve forever and it’s still my go-to card. Fee feels high but the benefits are worth it for my situation.
