Can anyone confirm the variable policy of TechM, is it monthly or quarterly.
Heard from few folks that its was changed to quarterly and in offer letter nowhere its mentioned that its monthly or quarterly.simply said applicable as per variable policy.
Any folks recently joined and received salary please confirm it.
Thank you

I’ve taken the training for AWS Solution Architect Associate. I have a huge IT background (>20 years) and I can tell you the class and breadth of AWS offerings is not for the faint of heart. And to do it right, I took my time and the 16 hr Udemy class took me many more hours. If you go down this path, you must have a strong IT background. Lastly, because of the technical depth along with the service breadth, you will quickly lose the knowledge of you don’t use it soon afterwards
my old job hired this principal level guy who had all the aws certs. he had the certs but no hands on experience so he was let go. Anyone can get certs but not everyone has applied experience.
Same thing at my employer and everywhere I apply. Either come in as a SME or start over as an Analyst with entry-level salary. It’s even to the point where I’ve asked to transfer away from what my firm had me focus on.
I’m 1 of 2 resources certified in what I have been focusing on. As a result they have been using me as an Orals resource and a SME during the presentation. I AM NOT A SME and have never been on a true integration/transformation project for this cert. In fact for the last 18 months, the only thing I have done that provides value to the firm are a few RFPs, and by few, I mean over 30 for this software; technically I wouldn’t even consider it value as we haven’t won anything.
I ask for more work and continue to get told to “focus on what you have in front of you”. Well that shit isn’t providing me value and I continue to fall behind. I stand no shot at promotion and can’t justify the salary requirements to any other firm.
Agree with A1. My employer sends us to get certs in whatever the new hot thing is. Off the top of my head, I have 8-10 certs that mean nothing. Like anyone in the consulting world, I can pass a test but just because I have the certs doesn’t mean I have the experience to be an expert that can talk about it during the orals presentations we do. Basically without the work, certs mean jack.
