Accenture India Lately there are so many hr openings with Accenture in almost all portals naukri, indeed, monster, linked in etc but there is not a single response infact I have the cc number wherein status is reflecting as hr will contact you ..but I have not received any revert, tried emailing the hr through a reference got an auto email stating out of office nd shared his contact number to connect, when tried calling hr,he was annoyed but I guess he forgot that he himself has shared the number. common staff one mistakes?
Advice needed - boyfriend has almost 3.5 years of finance experience at a bank. Interviewed for PwC valuation senior associate and now recruiter says they want to hire him at “experienced associate” because he has no valuation experience. Is this too big of a step backwards in career? Should he push back and see if it gets him anywhere? If he does accept Associate, is it reasonable to ask for written, definitive timeline (1 year?) for promo to Senior upon meeting standards? Help!

Very hard to come back to b4 from industry once you leave as so different. You are only a consultant- you need to learn all you can in b4 early in your career. Employers want b4 experience. B4 don’t value industry experience nearly as much. You learn so much faster in b4 that you will be behind peers when /if you return. Don’t leave b4 early with intent to return - nobody does this. Stay as long as you can and leave for industry with general intent of staying. If it doesn’t work out, you can come back but this works much better at the mgr level and above. I’m in tax so keep that in mind too.
All the boomerangs back to EY i’ve seen have been behind where they would have been if they had stayed. what experience do you hope to get from going to industry?
That won’t differentiate you. They want people who can be on it 100% of the time depending on when dealflow hits. You’ll learn how to do that on the job.
Firm to industry later and permanently always works best. More experience, relationships, and hard work early. That Experience and those relationships pay exponential dividends by the years invested once out in industry - both for you and your friends back at the ranch.
