When I worked at Pepsi. We couldn’t bring a McDonald’s soft drink cup into the office. Hope that helps 😁
Pull out a zune and a windows phone and don’t forget to bing it. This isn’t Balmer’s Microsoft anymore though.
It is, because why would you pull out any phone during an interview?!
Chief
I mean iPad or any device as part of tech interview, show your portfolio, etc.
I would reject anyone who used a Microsoft device during an interview or at any point in their personal life for any reason

Maybe. I got rejected from an Apple role after telling them I preferred Android and PC/windows over their own products. Conversation went downhill quickly after I, at the interviewer's request, listed reasons why based on my experiences with their products.
Apple is relatively cultish about their products and firm. By comparison Microsoft doesn't expect everyone to use their phones or other products.
Just joined Apple and literally 0 people cared about preferences re: Mac vs Windows or anything else. I hadn’t even used a Mac before joining and they knew it. It’s nice to be passionate about Apple products here since most everyone else is, but it’s not a requirement.

Probably. I heard a story about a guy at coke who got fired for having a Pepsi product from a fast food chain in his car.
Edit: it was a Taco Bell drink container. Similar to what D1 posted.
Unless you interview for a designer role to steal ideas from the other.
Tbh I would not hire a designer who wasn’t using Apple. Reasoning being MSFT didn’t support creative suite until cs4 maybe? So all the designers learned on Mac. Admittedly probably suffering from confirmation bias, but all the work I’ve seen from non Mac designers has been a hot pile of garbage

I think I’ll never work at any coffee company other than Starbucks. 🤣
