Can you just text them? Clients always seem to be into that
Depends on your position. If you're a creative that isn't a CD or an ACD, you shouldn't have direct contact with the client. I hate it when AEs CC me on client emails. Leave me out of it.
That's a new one for me. Gut says it's wrong. Leaves you 0 time for yourself. Internal IM with coworkers is fine but with clients is a bit much. We've done IM with clients during market research for fast behind the scenes communication. But all day every day on a regular day is invasive. I only texts clients in "urgent" situations after they've indicated they're OK with it. I never make a habit of it so they don't do it to me either. Email is pretty instant already anyway and it's on your phone...
Just be mindful of boundries
Absolutely. I've found it's the best way to get answers and information quickly without having to rely on a formal email response.
Yea absolutely why not? I wish my clients offered ways to be more accessible. I text my clients all the time.
For sure. A lot of our clients ask to use that, especially when working on a tight deadline.
^This reminds me, email is good for posterity and proof about client direction when shit goes wrong. Good luck finding that in a chat history
