Is it bad to apply for another role internally on the website but have been here for less than a year? I know they say you can’t switch internally for at least a year of work but honestly I can’t really stand doing what I do now and want to pivot to something else

We had someone on my team do this without voicing their feelings/concerns and left the team in a tough spot. Just connect with your counselor/mentor and it should all be fine

Depends on how close to a year you are and what level of support you have. Get a PPMD in your pocket where you want to go and you’re fine

like

Partner/Principle/Managing Director

Find the role you want, externally. Internal transfers are very difficult without support, Also you have been less than a year, no way they would approve.

Is KPMG working hybrid or remote?

Hybrid technically at least for audit. Depends on the team you’re on. I know some people who go in to the client or office 3 times a week and then I don’t go in at all because of my team not being from the same location

Account guy here in need of some advice. Been at current big agency for 5 years and it’s time for change. Options are 1) smaller agency, well known global client, stacked team and the other is 2) big agency, well known domestic US brand that recently switched to this agency, lean team. Pay/ benefits for both is comparable. Q: does moving big to small agency negatively impact growth potential/ opportunities across the industry?

My partner left the industry during the pandemic and I’ve been lost since. We worked together our entire careers, and I feel like since he left I haven’t come up with a single good idea or really cared about any projects. I know I wasn’t the reason he left, but I have imposter syndrome now. Did he carry us as a team? Am I good enough to do this without him? Do I care enough to do this on my own? How do you deal with losing a long-term partner who was half of your work life for years?

Got a level 7 offer Principal Solution Architect (Cloud) from Amazon (AWS).

But it's a low base at 160, 300 sign on bonus and then RSU over four years with unlock y1 5% y2 15% and year 3 and 4 40%. The RSU is 400..

Now the offer to me feels really good, however the vesting and the attrition rate of Amazon.. Makes me think I might actually never live long enough to see it? I'm at 250K base and a fluctuating bonus and stock awards placing me at about 350-380k per year.

Any input welcome
