Is it bad to apply for another role internally on the website but have been here for less than a year? I know they say you can’t switch internally for at least a year of work but honestly I can’t really stand doing what I do now and want to pivot to something else

Interviewing at a dream company, and right from the first interview the recruiter told me we are way off on salary expectations. This was a little bit expected, as the role is requiring a few years less experience than I have and also in a much cheaper market. They already told me the salary range during this first call, but wondering if they like me enough and I get an offer, how I might approach negotiating for more. I would be making much less than I do now, but it is a dream company.

What are exits for tech transfer? Have an opportunity, but idk if I want to work for university commercialization offices for the rest of my life
