Personal bias can creep in hiring process. I feel training the interviewers on hiring process should be done by companies now. It won't eliminate such instances, but yes may reduce it to an extent.
I agree. Has happened with me as well. I interviewed for Udaan wherein they sent a 1 year exp ISB MBA grad to interview me, he himself wasn't sure about what he was asking and then trying to prove that my approach is wrong in case based interview. I never tried to interview for that company again.

Bloody personal insecurity.
When you observe this cut down the interview in shot and share the feedback to hr and post it review other platforms like Ambitionbox etc... Unsure of the results but it may help someone sometime.
Sure thing, buddy. I will write a review. It was for Visa though.
Oh yes, absolutely!! I dont care abt IIT, but that hot girl is definitely winning the interview race. Hands down.
Could be personal bias. But the most common reason is that the team might have found another candidate who's accepted the offer. It has happened with me in Bain & Amazon
Recruiter.
Biases exists everywhere but I would also suggest discuss your interview with friend/ mentor you trust and see if there are things you could improve upon. Sometimes it’s just coincidence!
I am quite confident about my answers. How do I know? My codes were able to pass all the test cases. He asked me to design a DB model and I did. I think may be he was a bit insecure or they just found someone else.
Academics can be looked for resume screening but you are in interview, its based on your experience and role fitment. You can ask Hr for detailed feedback
McK3: In McK, I got interviewed by 2 guys. 1 was an IIT grad and the other one was not. They asked me Spark, Kafka and DSA related questions which I was able to answer. I still don’t know why did they reject me.
