How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?
Seeking honest advice here.

There are no partners at Accenture.
Success means generating sales, revenue, and margin which isn’t necessarily a function of hours/week. Most weeks for me are less than 40 but when a big deal is on the line then it can go much higher. I don’t consider myself a unicorn.
Client relationships, rewarding and building high performing teams, market supply and demand are more impactful to our success than punching the clock.
I think OP meant executives. MDs in ACN have similar expectations. Arguably, additional stress that comes with quarterly pressure being public.
No, not if you’re looking for a weekly consistency. Professional services is an ebb and flow business. You will not be working 40 hour weeks when it’s a new critical client or deal you’re trying to close, or when it’s a transaction, or when you’re going live, or when something didn’t go well, or you’re an audit or tax partner and have deadlines, or you’re running a practice, etc.
To the points above, you can smooth it out over a period of time by being proactive, building a strong team around you, really investing into relationship, etc, but it doesn’t diminish the need for you be there and being on when you’re really needed. You cannot just check out when you hit 40 during those times - your client and your team depend on you.
If you develop strong senior managers, you can just focus on relationships and handling the inevitable problems that come up.
I don’t think I’ll ever be under 40 but I’m usually under 45 and have flexibility to do things with my kids, etc.
Delegate and lead rather than try to micromanage, it helps your WLB but also helps your team grow.
That ain’t workin’, that’s the way you do it. Money for nothin’ and your chicks for free. Per Dire Straits.
