Is it possible to pass the CPA exam after 7 years out of college and not working in the accounting field since then. For background, I have an undergrad in accounting, as well as the 150 credits.

Of course it is... It's just memorization/ studying. If you put the time in, you will pass.

Yes! I passed the CPA exam 25 years after college, but am working in accounting at present. I got my UK chartered accountancy qualification 4 years after college.

like

It's an easy exam dude. The hard part is finding the time to study. If you put in the time you'll pass.

I passed all 4 exams after being out of college for 7 years and being out of work for 4 years. It’s definitely achievable.

Study, study, study. Get Becker. Good luck 🤟

As long as you're eligible to sit for the exam, it's definitely possible at any point! I see a lot of older people in industry studying for CPA because they are having trouble moving up without it.

Never too late; you got this!

If you study sure

Yes. You may have to study a bit longer as you’ll be relearning some concepts, but it is very possible. The cpa exam is not difficult in content, the hardest part is putting in the time.

Will you be able to get the experience requirement in order to get your cpa?

You would also need to make sure you have the right amount of accounting classes

Definitely get Becker then yes

YES!!!!!

Yes! I did It in 8!

I’ve taken it so many times. Paid the board so much money!

Hi all - just joining and looking for some guidance! I am currently in an IT internship position (making pretty solid money considering) and following this summer I will stay on part time during my senior year (discussing a full-time job offer after already). I’m getting my computer science degree, so I would like to do something more technical in the workplace when I graduate. How do I advocate myself for that to my manager without sounding unappreciative of the position I’m in?

Does anyone have a similar experience? I interviewed with recruiters from two of "Big 4". Both interviews went well, and I was told the recruiters will submit my resume to the partners and senior managers for the next interviews. 3 weeks later, I received the rejection letters without the next interview. I wonder why the partners even not bothered to interview me. If it matters, I am a CPA with 3 years non-PA experience and applied for experienced associate positions. I appreciate any insights.
