It depends on the person. Some may think, that dude has dope a watch. Then others may think, that dude must be privileged and has to come from parents money to afford that. But I’m on team who cares what others think. U do u
I never wear a watch but parents granted me a property in Manhattan, a property in LA, along with other trusts, etc. I drive an average jeep Cherokee and can keep everything down to earth and go unnoticed. I still own lots of HMs. Those like to flex their wealth are usually not that rich to begin with.
It sounds like you and your parents should take this offline to ensure align on KPI’s
Nobody gives a shit what watch an analyst wears — people are focused on their own work, their kids that need to be taken to a doctors appointment, the divorce lawyer, home foreclosure, their 401k
Why? If you got it, flaunt it! 🤪 But seriously, just own it. When else are you going to wear it? Of course, also be careful, esp if you’re in a big city where lots of robberies may occur.
To senior folks (who it would matter to most) it will make you look like a snob.
Not a vibe
Knew one guy who had a rolex as an associate. He didnt try to flex it (i.e. kept it under his jacket or shirt sleeves) and just stayed humble, only commenting on it if anyone brought it up first. Said his parents got it for him as a graduation gift.
I don't think anyone judged him for it
This is a great way to lose friends! ^_^
look at EY sticking together. You love to see it
