Is it wise to move from Accenture consulting to a smaller company before making consultant?
The company I am moving to has offered me a role as a consultant with a salary almost twice what I make in Accenture. They don’t have a big name but are growing and work with some very big clients. They are basically post startup. People who started there 2 years ago got promoted twice. Accenture basically says they don’t promote until after 2 years (6 months away for me). Am I making a mistake in moving?

How do I negotiate for a higher starting level? I have 5 years of experience and they told me I would be either L4/L5 but now I’m hearing it’s between L3/L4. I love google and I want to work here but I don’t think I could come in at L3. This is for SWE and onsites went very well

Wondering what people think about my situation. I’ve been offered a role with a company. The job description didn’t mention college degree as a requirement. On my CV I have a section listed as “Education” and under it I have “Business Studies” with the university name and the 3 years that I attended the course (2.5 to be exact). It’s a 4 year degree and under this I have my High School equivalent with the years I attended there. The education wasn’t mentioned in the interviews. Continued below.

I was wondering what kind of contractual or other barriers I might face if I apply for one of the big 4 while working on a project with them in my current company.
I am not too involved in the project but I was in a few meetings and went on a field trip with them as well.
The position that I am applying for is in a different team and city.
Will this considered “poaching” if the consulting firm hires me? Would they need to talk to my current employer?

Currently I work as a implementation consultant in a fast growing B2B SaaS company. We just recently received a funding round of 500M EUR, but I don’t have any stake in the company yet (only joined 5 months ago). I got an offer for EY-P but turns out the compensation is a bit lower than my current salary (~50kEUR). I’m really interested in strategy & PE cdd, but never done it before.
