But I’ll note I don’t know your situation. If you have a family, house payment, student loans, etc. So, I’ll reiterate that if you have the means, I don’t see why not.
Please don’t take this as any definite advice but I worked in the Creative Lab a few years ago. The trend was they’d tend to extend people. Getting set up there is an incredible hassle with onboarding and background checks and they tended to keep people around (assuming it’s a good fit) rather than cycling people in and out.
Yeah, despite the hiring stop it’s a great way to test drive on both sides. Think more companies should hire this way.
You could be laid off at your current job within 6 months. I say roll the dice.
*Background/update- in current role for 2.9 yrs with tiny tiny salary raise that’s still under inflation rate, and no clear path for promotion and further raise. Decent global retail client at tiny shop
