PLEASE HELP: Is it worth trying to switch teams when new to a company?

Someone from another team reached out and told me to apply to a position on their team since they think I have the background and skill set for the position.

I'm really interested because the work is impactful and I like the people, but I'm new to my company (<6mos). I'm my director's only report and I've been wanting to switch for awhile now because I genuinely do not enjoy working with him.
