Program Manager now, have an Industry offer. Is it easier to transfer to Product role in Industry or should stay in Consulting, hoping to be staffed as a Product Owner.
I got hired at EY after mid year. My offer letter says I’m not eligible for salary increase until 10/18. Is that typical?
Looking for others’ take : 2 months ago I interviewed with the hiring manager for an industry job (large company) that I really want. It seemed to go well and I was told the position is open, but I was warned the hiring process can be very slow. Radio silence until about 5-6 weeks later (I didn’t follow up at all except for the thank you note), when I was asked to interview with several additional people in the department…cont’d
I got rolled onto a project right out of onboarding, but I don’t have the skills for this role. Should I embrace a grueling 6 months or consider speaking to my manager about rolling off?
Is it appropriate to message a recruiter (at Deloitte on Skype) on about a full time analyst position that I am interested in? Currently an intern at Deloitte

Hello! I’m currently overseeing all marketing efforts for a $20m D2C business. I’d like to find a similar role at another D2C SME that is fully remote. Anyone know of anything open? Thank you!
Hi Greg - Two questions. 1.What life lessons would you give to those who want to stick to consulting in the long run? 2.Same Q but for those who want to exit + what is the optimal role to quit Thanks
Do any of the MBBs consult for FAANG or top tech companies? Or do all those companies exclusively use in house strategy teams? If any MBB does, a referral would be much appreciated
I work at "FairWay Furniture" right out of undergrad I was placed on team X where the salary is 70k and more in line with what I studied in college. About six months in, my org went through a restructure and I was moved to team Y that is more technical and thus makes ~85k. I have been told my salary will not change until my next review 6 months away. I feel that I should be paid according to my team. WWYD and how do I approach this situation? Definitely would not recommend fairWay...
What to do when you get a promotion but lower than expected salary adjustment? Does anyone have luck negotiating? Or if you’re happy with work otherwise is it better to just accept.

A former Manager reached out about an e-commerce manager role for a relatively young company doing $35M/year. The role manages inventory on the site (20 skus), CRO, and Analytics plus the e-tailers (Amazon). They launched a site redesign and CVR tanked, but from what I gather they have too much of a focus on Paid Social and upper-funnel tactics. They’re hiring for a Demand Gen Analyst/Manager from a different manager. So, the roles report into different people. Question below:
What are typical hourly billable rates from Big 4 for external audit services by role in New York or California?
Any insight as to the DC market for litigation mid levels? Coming from out of town, but hearing the opportunities are far slimmer than a transactional role
Is it easy to get a nonconsulting role in Social Impact, Corporate Social Responsibility, Purpose & People? MSHR and SHRM-SCP with 10+ years of experience in compliance, global mobility, people development, workforce strategy and disability advocacy.
I’m so confused about if business travel is really going to be frequent this fall due to the COVID cases rising….
Travel recs for eastern Europe?
So I got upgraded to Marriotts Premier Platinum Elite level. Any idea what this means besides getting a gift from them in the mail?
Can we pay for hotel with our personal cards and manually expense or does it have to be corporate AMEX like flights?
Tax FB peeps- what's a good range for SM in the DFW market? Is PayScale or Glassdoor on the money?
I just got into sim racing. Got a good deal on Logitech g920 and have f gt lite seat coming soon soon. Am playing project cars 2, assetto corsa, and Dirt rally 2.0. Any others into racing? It seems pretty fun but a huge learning curve to drive remotely reasonable and barely getting beyond 3rd gear before crashing unless it's a huge straightaway. Not sure if it's skill or settings.
Which budgeting app is better? How do you handle keeping track of funds if you pay off your own corporate card (we expense and get reimbursed, but pay our own card)?
Most random but amazing place you traveled due to a client engagement within the contiguous US. I’ll go first: Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Surprisingly a great spot to get away to!
Are there any agencies out there right now that aren’t complete trainwrecks? Seems like everyone’s struggling right now with so much work either being moved in-house or becoming project-based.
Omg lady won't give up her seat so this non white family can sit together who has a baby. "If these people who can't speak English can't afford to sit next to each other, why do I have to move" ewww
I’m coming back to my former job after 6 months and leaving my current position in one of the most toxic places I have ever been. Never thought I could be harassed in so many ways in such short period. Gladly, I left the door and they’re taking me back. Even though it’s a huge relief, I’m worried about how to explain to my coworkers why I’m back. I’m way too vulnerable to lay out the truth. Anyone here to give me a useful tip on how to handle this?
EY-P is hiring for Financial DD, IT DD, IT M&A post-merger integration, and Commercial DD roles. Looking for Managers and Senior Managers. If you’re interested, please DM for referral. Please no internal EY folks from other service lines. Due to staffing needs, internal transfers are becoming extremely difficult at this time.
I have a huge crush on an recently-hired intern. I’m married and twice as old. I would never act on it. But.... swoon
I know it's early to even mention this, but has anyone starting preparing lessons for the fall? I want to create a remote learning webquest (how to use remote learning tools) so that students are prepared for anything.
I have a good offer outstanding from a tech firm (350K TC) and just got connected to a recruiter from one of the alternative investment firms (PE/Hedge/VC 35bn AUM) in NYC and it seems they want to go through the process with me. The base range given is 350K (excluding bonus and others). TC wise.. I'd like to try and see how far I can go but the tech firm is something that I really like. Is working at PE or hedge fund considered a prestige experience? YoE 14 all in consulting. Worth trying?
What are the different client facing ranks at all the firms, in order from lowest to highest, and how many years are typically spent at each before being promoted to the next?
