Nope, carry on
I think your summary is very fair. The accounting and finance stuff in an MBA is useful and you won’t learn it by osmosis from consulting. Some people also appreciate the friends / contacts they make - an MBA will make you less dependent on your current employer - but it’s very pricey as you say.
Yeah, and one aspect I feel is that I may be under credentialed as I move up; like I work with tons of MBA SA’s as well; we do same quality of work.
I’m someone who came in from industry so my pay gap to MBA isn’t really that wide as I came in hot on the dollar
That’s a no for me, dawg.
MBAs are overrated IMO and continually less valuable in the job market
I think you’re good, chief 👍

Honestly I don’t think an MBA would add much value for you! You’re doing just fine without it, and adding it at this point really isn’t going to make a huge difference for comp or promo. You can do all of that on your own without the extra letters after your name, I promise. It may be a little harder, maybe, sometimes, but overall you will be absolutely just fine.

I have a MBA and in consulting it adds nothing. The exit opps are different though.
Well you can do MBA And enter strategy consulting. They pay more and you’ll make up your investment in 4-5 years
Yeah like I said before, I came from industry so I’m not one of those analyst up to SC so my pay is pretty competitive. Not MBA pay but close
Does your employer not cover the tuition or at least provide assistance?
