You’ve not gotten a raise in 3 years?? Sounds like it’s time to look for a new job. Seriously. Several of my friends work at small firms and they get annual raises.
If you’re dead set on staying at this firm, I would just ask genuinely and lay it out how you did on this post. “I have doubled my workload and not gotten a raise, I think I’m due at least a 25% raise.”
It can be tricky to ask for a raise, but it sounds like you deserve it. I’d recommend preparing by outlining your accomplishments and the extra responsibilities you’ve taken on. When you approach your manager, frame it as a discussion rather than a demand. If the conversation doesn't pan out, then you should start applying elsewhere
Are you at a very small firm? It’s wild that your employers have not given you a raise nor have you asked one after a maximum year and a half.
Bruh time to bounce.
