I think multiple million dollar corporations are particularly vulnerable because they have shareholders who want to see high yields and layoffs are a great way for corporations to increase profits. I am always on edge , I don’t think anyone should feel all to comfortable with their jobs.

I do agree with you
I'm not sure that anyone is really safe from layoffs these days. A lot of companies are obsessed with impressing analysts on Wall Street, and saying you're cutting costs by laying people off is encouraged. I keep thinking the contagious of layoffs will end, but it hasn't. It almost seems like a new wave of them is beginning.

Yes no one is safe !
I used to worry but now that I've been through two rounds of mass layoffs, I have realized it's out of my hands. So I just do my best at my job and if my employers wants me gone, I'll just find something else. It helps that I do have some emergency funds in savings as a cushion.

I don’t dwell on it either whatever happens
OP at the end of the day everyone is replaceable and anyone can be affected by the layoffs so I try to keep that in mind. However healthcare is one of those industries that will probably always be short staffed and always be hiring. So at the end of the day I don't worry so much about layoffs.
Diversity in this climate is key.
I think everything will be streamlined and Ai will make a huge difference. Some jobs are just going away.
